Al Atkins and Holy Rage Holy Rage have now decided to cut all ties with american promotion company RG promotions and Rob Grohl.
As we now have Al's book released, and a New CD about to be released, Holy Rage will be actively looking for good representation in the UK, Europe, Asia and the USA.

We wish RG Promotionz all the best for the future.

Mick "The Anvil" Hales

A big man with a bigger heart.

Mick has played drums with many bands over the years including 'The Lost Souls' and 'Dante Fox' . He first met AL in 2006 when he played drums on the 'Demon Deceiver' album and joined the mighty 'Holy Rage' last year as their new live percussionist.

Al Atkins.

AL formed 'Judas Priest' and sang for them for 4 years before leaving them to be replaced by Rob Halford.

AL wrote classic song Victim of Changes + Winter, Caviar and Meths, Never Satisfied and Dreamer Deceiver which all featured on 'Priests' first two albums Rocka Rolla and Sad Wings of Destiny, both albums went gold.

AL 's Solo Albums to date...........

  • Judgment Day.
  • Dreams of Avalon.
  • Heavy Thoughts.
  • Victim of Changes.
  • Demon Deceiver.

AL 's new book will be released this spring 2009 and titled

'Dawn of the Metal Gods'.

Chris Johnson

Chris is Al's guitarist. Endorsed by Moser Custom Shop and Kustom Amp he is enjoying his stuff right now. He has played with Al for two years, recorded on Demon Deceiver and the Holy Rage Debut single "Give Them Hell" as well as touring with the band.

With his unique playing style and ear splitting harmonics, Chris is one to see live, and BOY is he loud!

Hello all you metal heads out there, just an update on what's happening with the 'HOLY RAGE'..........

A few dates have been changed around with some of our up and coming gigs (out of our control i'm afraid). The 'Rock of Ages' festival has now been moved back to November and will be relocated at a new venue too.........         (The Bridgehouse, London )

Our USA dates have also been moved too and will now be in October (swine flu permitting).

My long awaited book finally comes out next week and i will be doing a book launch at 'JB's Night Club' with a live set by the 'HOLY RAGE'.

Chris and myself will take the DJ's chair this month when we take over the airways for 'Metal Express Radio' in Oslo , Norway . (should be fun).

We had a great gig last week at the 'Robin 2' playing alongside S.American band 'Skinny Molly', can't wait to play that venue again..

New gig just came in for us to play the 'Rock and Metal' fest again (July 25th) with Rekuiem and Saxon.

More good news just came in today with my last solo album 'Demon Deceiver' being taken over by 'Angel Air Records' UK with a new world wide distribution deal, more on this later.

Anyway see you all on the road soon........keep flying the flag.    AL Atkins.

'CLASSIC ROCK MAGAZINE'

Midlands Metal's lost voice! Although he left Judas Priest eir debut album, Al Atkins has always remained in their orbit, occasionally collaborating with them on a series of somtimes excellant hard rock releases over the years. As well as Priest, Al can call on others from the classic metal premier league:Brian Tatler from Diamond Head and Simon Lees from Budgie make guest appearances here. He has a voice that sounds like it was honed by 60 Navy Cut and a gargle of meths every day and his version of Victim Of Changes is an intriguing hint of how Priest might sound in some parallel universe. This edition of his 2007 album comes with two tracks from Al's new band Holy Rage - initially put together for the recording of Demon Deceiver - whose sledgehammer blues metal could point the way to things to come! ....Tommy Udo.

  'CLASSIC ROCK REVISITED'

This reissue adds two bonus tracks which gives the listener a preview of AL's new band 'Holy Rage'. If 'Give Them Hell' and 'A Void to Avoid' are any indication of what they have in store for their up coming debut album, then i'de have to say the future is looking very bright indeed. The music on Demon Deceiver is flat out the heaviest sounding material AL has ever recorded. If youv'e never had the opportunity to hear AL's music then this re issue of Demon Deceiver is a great ploace to start, while you pick up his book 'Dawn of the Metal Gods' at the same time, you'll be glad you did..........RYAN SPARKS

'LET IT ROCK'

Atkins demonstrates a great form throughout, more so with the heartbreaking serious of 'Sentenced' and  'Blood, Demons and Whiskey' featuring a multi tracked vocals on coda he gives his former Priest colleagues a run for their money while 'God help Me' feels much tastier than Priest's recent cuts and his new band 'Holy Rage' add more weight to this impressive work.  3/4

SEA OF TRANQUILITY

Dean Predley.
Atkins role in the formation of Priest should never be underestimated.  Atkins frazzled delivery combines with some consistency solid riffs to make a decent old school metal album that will appeal to fans of both Priest and NWOBHM.

Al and Chris spent an awsome morning on BBC Radio WM with the one and only famous local historian Carl Chinn MBE.

We launched Al's autobiography "Dawn of the Metal Gods" (of which signed copies are available from this website but are going FAST), Al and Chris' metal background (Chris lied about Abba,,, I SWEAR!!!) and also Carl played the Holy Rage single Give Them Hell live on air.

The interview, which featured Led Zep, Sabbath, Priest and many more can bere heard here. You will need realplayer to listen to it.

Al and Chris would like to thank Carl for a great morning. We hope to do another soon.

After my return from USA I received some bad news for all our fans has Alex Reynolds our drummer for the last two years has decided to quit to concentrate and put more time into the new studio that he has just built.
The band and myself wants to wish him all the best in whatever road he decides to take in the future and say thanks for the big input and contribution he put into The Holy Rage while playing with us.( ALL THE BEST MATE).

On a more positive note.............
Alex's replacement is ex 'Lost Souls', 'Ozzmosis' and 'Dante Fox' drummer Mick (the anvil) Hales.

Mick played all the studio session drumming on my 5th solo album 'Demon Deceiver' and has remained a very close friend to the band over the last couple of years so he was an obvious choice drummer for us. (He is also a fucking awesome drummer).
We start rehearsing this week so we will see you all on the road again soon..........AL.

Holy  Rage had yet another great gig the weekend at the Robin 2. This time with an old friend of the band Brian Tatler and Diamond Head. We had a really cool crowd and everyone had a killer night.

Thanks for a great night Brian, and good luck with the new CD.

Holy Rage are in preparation of recording their DEBUT CD so road work may be a little scattered as the band are busy writing and preparing artwork etc. More details will be announced as and when.

On a side note and personally from Al and the band to our Blabbermouth friends, NO,  WE WILL NOT BE RECORDING "VICTIM OF FUCKING CHANGES" ok ? So find something else to wine about which we are sure you will find very easy.  Twisted EvilTwisted EvilTwisted Evil

Here are some pics from the Diamond Head gig. Thanks Brian, we really enjoyed it man.

Scott Dallow

The quiet one of the band. A superb bass player hailing from the Black Country Scott has years of pedigree behind him. He has been Al's bassist for two years. Prior to that Scott has played in many underground metal bands including "The Mound".
